The Douglas Hotel in Brodick, on the beautiful Isle of Arran, scores highly in several respects. Firstly, the location right next to the ferry terminal for the ferries to Ardrossan and Troon is excellent, and the local golf course is still just down the road. It's also a really nice hotel. The rooms are furnished to a high standard, and the restaurant serves delicious breakfasts and dinners. The hotel's pub/bar is popular with both hotel guests and locals. And at the risk of making this short review boring: The reception and restaurant/bar staff were also very friendly. Will return!
