The hotels in the Marine & Lawn Hotel Group are renowned for their unique locations and distinctive retro style. The historic Marine Hotel in Troon is no exception. Situated between the first tees of the Old Course and the Portland Course at Royal Troon, it is impossible to stay any closer to a golf course in town. Anyone playing on either of these two courses can easily walk to the clubhouse. But the hotel has plenty more to offer, too. The entire staff are exceptionally friendly, and I was also very pleased with my dinner in the charming Seal Bar. Unfortunately, this level of luxury comes at a price. However, given what's on offer, I found the price very reasonable. This is in contrast to the £395 that a round on the Old Course at Royal Troon would have cost in summer 2026. Of course, though, we can't hold the Marine Hotel responsible for that.
