On the border of counties Kildare and Meath lies the stately Carton House, which has been managed by Fairmont Hotels for some time. Compared to the neighbouring K Club, the Carton House has two (even) better golf courses. Otherwise, it is simply what it is: a huge castle hotel in which even discerning guests should want for nothing. Except perhaps the time to enjoy all the amenities and still be on the golf course all day. Great.
