Batalha Golf Course is just a 15 minute drive from the island's capital, Ponta Delgada, on the picturesque Azores island of Sao Miguel, and well worth a day of golf. The lush green of the fairways competes with the blue of the Atlantic, which peeks through trees time and time again. I really liked the course designed by Bob Cameron and Chris Power in 1986. And I haven't lost many golf balls either. Maybe that's why.
