Killarney Mahony' Point
So, this is the second course at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club? I really don't want to know how good the first one is, then! Mahony's Point is pretty good in my opinion. The fairways are a bit wide, and it's not as long as its famous neighbour, but I really enjoyed myself here. This is partly thanks to the old trees, which are a real feast for the eyes, and partly thanks to the spectacular views of the Killarney Lakes with the McGillicuddy Reeks behind them — they're simply beautiful. The best holes? I'll just quote the text from the club website, as I couldn't describe them any better: The final three holes are breathtaking as you play towards the lake with the 18th hole described as ‘one of the most memorable holes in golf’.
