The two courses at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club are just outside Scottsdale and that's great. The desert here is virtually untouched and there are no buildings to spoil the experience of a round of desert golf. And playing here is definitely an experience. I played the Saguareo course, designed by Coore/Crenshaw, and was thrilled. According to the website, the course is designed to be walkable. Well not for me. I played there in early September at 40 degrees Celsius.
